Side-By-Side Device Share Protocol

When an organization needs to create a custom app to accept payments but would rather not develop and certify a payment app, ExaDigm’s Side-By-Side Device Share Protocol is essential.

In our fully-integrated solution, a third-party and ExaDigm payment application run side-by-side on the same device and exchange information. ExaDigm handles the payment application responsibilities while the third-party application meets the specialized customer requirements. During this inter-process communication, the third-party and ExaDigm app can both use the ExaDigm certifications.

Package includes:

  • ExaDigm’s PA-DSS certified payment application
  • Access to ExaDigm’s SDK

Simple Connect Semi-Integrated Solution

Using ExaDigm’s proprietary message protocol, an external POS device can send payment requests via serial, USB, Ethernet, or Wi-Fi to an ExaDigm terminal running a certified ExaDigm payment application. Then, exchanging data via binary data packets, the ExaDigm device sends the transaction result back to the external POS device.

In this semi-integrated solution, the protocol and the API are platform-independent, meaning the POS device that communicates with the ExaDigm terminal can run any operating system and software that can build and parse binary data (ExaDigm protocol). This solution is excellent for customers that have an existing POS system they want to continue to use but want to also accept EMV payments without developing and certifying a payment application and do not want or need customized reporting options.

Package includes:

  • ExaDigm’s PA-DSS certified payment application
  • ExaDigm’s Proprietary Binary Protocol

POS Cloud Connect Semi-Integrated Solution

In this innovative Semi-Integrated solution, an external POS device can send payment requests via Ethernet or Wi-Fi through a cloud service to an ExaDigm terminal running a certified ExaDigm payment application. The ExaDigm device then sends the transaction result back to the POS device using XML data packets.

In this semi-integrated solution, the protocol and the API are platform-independent, meaning the POS device that communicates with the ExaDigm terminal can run any operating system and software that can build and parse XML data (Merchant First’s API). The POSCC is an excellent solution for customers with an existing or legacy POS system that they want to continue using, but also want to accept EMV payments. It also allows the customer to avoid developing and certifying a payment application while enabling access to the optional reporting options offered by the available cloud services.

Package includes:

  • ExaDigm’s PA-DSS certified payment application
  • ExaDigm’s Simple-Semi Cloud Connect API
